What documents are required when extending Dependant's visa?

Hi All, I have been in the UK now for 2 months. I still have not opened a bank account since we cannot prove my address in the u.k. I was wondering if we have to prove that my partner and I we're living at the same address through having the same correspondence. Will other letters such as doctor's ...

sorry, the calculation was wrong, it is in fact the other way around. His contracted hours would have to be reduced to 34 to comply with the min salary requirement. If he were paid 30k for a 34 hour week that will be pro-rated to 37/34 * 30,000 = 32,647 for a 37 hour week which is just over the ...

Hi Manci,

Thank you for your response. What I meant was how increasing his hours to 40 hrs will correct the salary? I thought increasing the hours will lower the gross income?

Could you please explain how this would work so that my partner can start planning what he needs to do for his visa?

Thank you

His job's standard hours is 37 per week. Can you please explain how this would work? I cannot get my head around it.

I would stop being paranoid, if you paid the landlord for council tax then you should not worry. However, in the future I would check the council tax also you must register on the electoral register if required by law. Hi, I paid her £360 a month but there I have no written contract that says ...

Well if your partner was the only adult, the single person discount would have been ok. You say the Landlord has not been paying council tax, explain? Do you mean he claimed an exemption for someone or said the house was empty? When I rang the Council, they took my name and post code and they said ...

Sounds like a rogue. Well technically you were likely liable for the council tax and thus are liable for the single person discount (25%) which was paid (I am assuming). It's unlikely to affect your ILR however, I am obliged to say that you should inform the council that you have been living there ...

Just ask your landlord to put your names down, he should not have been getting a single person discount if more than one adult lives there. HI, I have asked him and he was really rude to me and said that if he gets another bill, I will have to pay for it. I think he knows we're from abroad and ...

Can this affect our chances of getting an ILR?

Hi All, We are currently living in a flat where everything is inclusive within the rent including council tax. I have recently found out that our landlord has not put our name down in the property but has been taking council tax. Can this affect my husband's chances of getting an ILR through the 10 ...

Re: SALARY cannot be pro-rated. Please help

So is your partner currently being paid less money than it said on his last CoS? If so, that could cause a problem, I suspect. If he is just no longer a new entrant and so UKBA have mandated that he is an experienced worker, it is fine for his salary to increase on the 'start date' of the new CoS ...

They have also requested for my passport, which I have already sent. In their ...
