Thanks for trying to help, I was given such bad advice by my solicitor that I sacked her and it was a miracle that I even got the visa for my partner. I now find myself in a minefield of changing rules. I am british, she is brazilian, we have 2 british kids and lived in brazil 3 years, coming back ...

Hi , I need to apply for an extension for my wifes settlement visa. She has a tier 1 visa and been here approaching 2 years. I cant find any information on how to do this , can somebody please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Your solicitor is wrong. The higher level isn't required for a pre-entry spouse visa. If your legal advisor is confused over a very basic issue then I'd suggest you may want to seek help elsewhere before you submit your application. The UKBA guidance seems to accept couples under route established by Singh ? Or am I wrong about that. They reject applications if relationship is not `durable`. Or am I completely wrong here and wasting my time ?
