Just want to share to help anyone applying for ILR based on Tier 1 (general) after 5 years. I successfully applied for ILR visa in Dec 2013. I was on Tier 1(General) visa for 5 years. You need the following documents (1) proof of earning documents e.g payslips, bank statements (2) Life in UK test ...

for ILR (based on tier 1 general) NO English is required as it was provided as part of first time tier 1( general) application.

I got ILR in dec 2013 and did not give any proof for english in ILR application
