Skilled Worker (PBS Tier 2 )Dependent visa

Post by satishb » Fri May 20, 2022 1:30 pm

Hi

I am currently a British Citizen via the Tier 2 General route and my wife and child have already spent 4 years on PBS Tier-2 dependent route and looking for an extension of one year(Until 2023 May), and from then they both are eligible for ILR. Could someone please help me out with the below queries?

Question 1:
Could you please validate if the link below is the right one to be used for PBS dependent extension visa

PBS, Start-up, Innovator, or Global Talent dependant partner
https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... d-children
and since we are going to apply from inside the UK, it takes to the below link
https://apply-to-visit-or-stay-in-the-u ... 3d3e9c7d77

Question 2 :
Once the application is completed, the confusion is around the IHS portal.
What are the work dates to be filled in? Given that the main applicant(myself) is a citizen now, and the earlier COS was expired few years ago, not sure what needs to be filled in.
I even tried to fill the old dates from the original COS, which are from June-2016 to June-2019, however, the IHS form doesn’t accept the same.
As we are only looking for one year Visa , they (both of them) will be
eligible for ILR later than that.

Question 3:
There is another section where we have to fill a Visa expirey date, as the main applicant is a British Citizen, what would be the Visa expiry date to be filled? I believe Visa expiry date drives the IHS fee calculation, however, I am confused what needs to be filled in here.

Question4:
While filling the dates, I have put some dummy dates, which are from 11 June 2022 till 10
June 2023, however, IHS is being calculated for more than one year, although the dates
mentioned are accounted for less than one year(364 days).
Is the IHS fee calculated based on the date of application submitted or from the dates which were mentioned in the IHS form?

Highly appreciate if someone can answer these queries.

Thanks
Satish

Q1. Correct yes

Q2. You need to put a date starting from date of application and end date exactly 3 years in the future, eg 20th May 2022 to 19th May 2025. An extension will be for 3 years and IHS of 3 years is payable. You cannot apply for a 1 year extension as the immigration rules state it will be 3 years for dependents if the main PBS migrant has ILR or is British.

Q3. See comment re Q2

Q4. Likely application date.
