Skilled worker visa - what will be the renewal issue date

My current skilled worker visa was issued on 13th April,2022 for three years which is about to expire now. My company is starting the process now to extend my visa for next two years. I want to know once I get successful decision on my extended skilled worker visa will it be from 13th April,2025 or date earlier to 13th April,2025(provided I get decision before this date). I am looking for this as I am looking for my 5 years qualifying period for ILR which ideally will be completed by 13th April,2027.

The validity is from the date of decision, not the expiry date of your current visa.

Responding to your questions in the other post (likely mods will merge these into one, no need to create different posts for similar queries), your dependants also need to extend their leave before the expiry date on their visas. Once you get ILR, they continue as SW dependants until they qualify for ILR on their own.

Be aware that this advice might not be entirely applicable in 2027. The immigration rules are constantly changing!
