Student Visa Curtailed - Can I Do My Part-Time Job ?

Hello,
Recently, my friend has been withdrawn from his MSc Course due to failing of 70 credit , and the university has reported it to the UKVI today. My question is,he currently works in McDonald's as a Crew member (Part-Time) , as he got 60 days as notice period, can he work his part-time and leave within 60 days? Will the UKVI report the visa curtailment to the employer, or should he inform it?

Sort of. He can work until his Student visa is curtailed, but separately a bigger concern is that he is now in the UK with the "wrong" visa -- a visa for a course he has been removed from -- so he should prioritise leaving the UK (or making a new application if he is eligible, but he appears to not be).

He needs to do that, but only when it happens.
