7) Indian Passport Original - Retained and was told that it will be cancelled and delivered along with the passport surrender certificate. Paid for secure delivery at the VFS counter.
Note: I forgot to mention her UK Passport # in the form. In the VFS, they asked me to a new one and mail it to them, which they printed and then submitted the new application. The original appointment letter was used. This goes for any mistake in your application, just submit a new one then and there.

1) I've booked renunciation appointment for the morning and surrender appt. for afternoon. Would that be okay or do they retain Indian passport for renunciation? renunciation process is not more a step, you don't need to apply for renunciation
2) Do I need 2 separate sets of Indian passport copy, naturalization certificate, UK address proof etc. for each appointment, or do they not retain any of the documents?
3) Where do I specify what address I want the certificates to be delivered? I won't be in the country to receive renunciation certificate and would like to give a friend's address.
4) Am I okay to print Indian passport page copies double sided?

Also, I keep seeing different lists of documents for these appointments. Can anyone confirm what we actually need? Many thanks!
I got my surrender certificate. While applying for it at VFS Goswell I checked and they said no need to apply for renunciation, just surrendering Indian passport is enough for OCI. Please see attached pic which says if you already have relieved foreign passport it does not require to renounce you citizenship as its already null & void.
Do we still require to book appointment for renounce or just surrender of passport is good enough?
