Tier 2 - Restricted COS or Unrestricted COS

Hi,

I am a teacher and i have applied for a job at one of the learning providers in UK. They are small company and recently got Tier 2 License A Rating. They are now confused which COS to give me. Whether to give me Restricted COS or Unrestricted COS?

If it was restricted then i guess it is for only 6 months? what happens after that?

I am so confused and cannot find guidance on this. Could someone please help.

Why would it only be for 6 months? You don't seem to understand how it works at all.

Restricted CoS is for applications outside the UK. Unrestricted CoS is for applications within the UK.

You also seem to have posted previously for a spouse of a British citizen visa, Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa, about Tier 2 ICT Sponsorship as a company!! So what exactly is the situation and if not asking for yourself, who are you asking for?

Yes, genuinely it was for my friend who is in India.

I have no idea how tier 2 works. He asked the questions and I had no answers to it and decided to ask here.

Always useful to state if you are asking on behalf of someone else as we check previous posting history. It is even better if the person registers on the forum and asks their own questions as it is their visa and future at stake.
