British Citizenship/ Naturalisation - Questions

Hi,

My wife received her ILR on 14th November 2023, and she is due to apply for British citizenship on 14th November 2024. My two children (born in India) and I applied for ILR and received it on 3rd October 2024.

I have a few questions before I apply for British citizenship for my wife. I would appreciate your feedback:

1. Should I create the British citizenship application for my wife and submit it before 14th November 2024, booking the biometric appointment for on or after 14th November 2024? Or should the application be submitted only after 14th November 2024? Please let me know.

2. Are my kids eligible to apply for British citizenship with my wife on 14th November 2024, or do I need to apply for them after my wife receives her British passport? Or they will be eligible only after 03rd October 2025.Please let me know.

3. I will be eligible to apply for British citizenship only on or after 3rd October 2025. Please correct me if I am wrong.

4. Are there any other steps I need to take after applying for British citizenship?

This. The date of submission of the application should be the date when she meets the requirements.

How old are the kids?

If the kids are under the age of 18, they can apply with your wife.

You can apply as soon as your wife has attended her citizenship ceremony as she will have become a British citizen. You will be applying as the spouse of a British citizen, which has no one year waiting period.
