Bachelor degree equivalent

Post by Ajain » Thu Oct 19, 2023 2:33 pm

I am holding Indian Nationality and currently in the UK on a Tier II Visa. Now, I am in the process of applying Skilled Worker Visa for UK (Home office). For a Skilled Worker Visa application , I'll need the following certificates to prove my English Proficiency and qualification basis of my qualification.

I am qualified CA from India but not holding any bachelor/Master degree. I want to understand whether CA qualification will be considered equivalent to UK bachelor degree by Eccits for Visa and immigration purpose.

I have a article dated 19 March 2020(Refer the link below) where NARIC has benchmark ICAI qualification equivalent to UK bachelor degree but I am unsure whether they will considered it for Visa and immigration purpose as well.

It is little urgent. Your response will be appreciated

Thanks

It will not be an automatic exemption from English for you either way.
Even if it is considered as equivalent, you would still have to go through Ecctis to confirm it; also I don't know how can you confirm that you were taught this in English.

My advice would be to do a SELT then hinging your proficiency on a possibility.

I take it CA means Chartered Accountant?
A professional qualification can’t be used as proof of English even if the professional body says it is equivalent to a BA degree. I have personal experience of this in relation to naturalization and in the end just did the B1 test.
