Making a biometric appointment

Post by MaximinAustralia » Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:22 am

I am an Australian (living in Canberra) currently in the process of completing my online application for a tier-2 general visa. I won't be able to attend the biometric appointment until 2.5 weeks time, however, because I'll need my passport to travel between now and then. Can anyone advise me on (1) whether they allow you to book appointments 2 weeks in advance, or, alternatively (2) whether you might even be fortunate to get an appointment two weeks in advance? I'd like to know this before submitting and paying for it. Thank you!

Then you can just book the appointment on the date after you are back.

When you have to make a biometric appointment

Applying for a tier 2 general visa from Australia; does anyone know if you're able to change/select appointment times *before* you pay and submit the application?

Thank you for replying so quickly. Sorry--I left out an important piece of information. When I get back is 6 weeks before I have to leave for the UK. They say it takes 15 business days, and 6 weeks gives me 30. But if there's a long wait period then things start to get tight.

Topics merged. Kindly refrain from posting questions about Tier 2 in the 'General Immigration' sub forum. Thanks

There is no 'same day decision' option for applications outside the UK.
