In the Tier 2 (General) visa application form, there is a question "Tell us about work for the following types of organisation
Armed Forces (including compulsory national or military service)
Government (including Public or Civil Administration and compulsory national service)
Media organisations
Security organisations (including police and private security companies)
Judiciary (including work as a judge or magistrate)"
I have a question about paragraph "Government (including Public or Civil Administration and compulsory national service)". I am confused as I think that this question may ask either about work in an entity that governs a state - work in the Government itself and Public or Civil Administration and compulsory national service, - or about work in any entity that receives money from the Government.
Is work in a state institute or university in this context considered as "work for Government"?
The addition in parenthesis - "(including Public or Civil Administration and compulsory national service)" - gives a feeling that work in other state structures is not considered as "work for Government" in this context. Otherwise, why emphasize it?
Any thoughts and experience with answering to this question will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
