SIA License.....

Post by segex » Sun Jun 14, 2009 8:31 pm

I'v got this licence I'v been using to work few hrs and support myself pending the outcome of the PSW visa, as being expected by many of you.

My Sec. company is satisfied with the HO ref. letter in that regards but SIA revoked my licence for the reason that the visa has taken so long despite my several communication with them..

Has anybody got similar experince? Pls share it with me... Thanks

That is strange . Never heard that before.
When did u apply? and what sort of documents did u send to SIA to make them understand that u are under Sec 3C and ur visa is being automatically extended until the time u get ur visa and thus u r legal and can work in this country. U need to put some sense into their head because most of the people dont know or understand Sec 3C.

Cheers

Thanks mate for yr quick reply.

I have been expecting since oct08 as well like many of u. SIA contacted me in April to provide my status and i replied immediately stating my HO ref no and requestd them to contact if in doubt. I received their revocation letter last Tuesday stating that I had not responded to their requst within 28days....bla bla, ther4 my licence hereby revoked

Meanwhle, my company keeps tag with my application with HO and still gives me job...... but i felt cheated by SIA.. I paid too much for that licece! In fact i have or used to have 2licecences. My company got one(security) for me, which i repaid back and i got the other one for (door) when i used to do such job... bot revoked at same time.

My worries was wether they have latest infomation from HO but the receptionist responce prooved otherwise.

Right. Ur problem is not because ur visa took so long but because ur documents/reply did not get through to SIA because of some reason.

Dont worry i m sure ur licence will be reinstated IF problem dealt with properly.
1. Call SIA 2mrw and tell them that u sent the reply within 28 days but because of some reason the docs did not get to them. This is not ur fault but something beyond ur reach. Tell them the delivery code if u have it on u.
Secondly send them a new letter along with a copy of ur old letter and delivery receipt as proof that u did reply within 28 days and ur licence should not be revoked. U can easily find details about sec 3c on internet and also if u r eligible to work in UK if u hav applied for a visa on time. The answer is yes u can.

Once again ur licence was being revoked because they did not get ur reply within 28 days and not because ur visa application is in process since 8 months. Hope this helps

Cheers
