Graduate visa dependents

Post by spybadshah » Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:15 pm

Hi,
Applied for a Graduate visa for myself and processing for dependents (partner and children). I have few questions and some information to share about the same below.
1. The main applicants application is made and evidence required (dental treatment invoice) uploaded, the dependents (2 × children) evidence is still pending and another dependent (partner) has to refill the form again due to issue with date for IHS fees.
Question is, will it impact if the dependents application is completed few days after main applicant as I was not aware of different requirements for each application until I got to that stage.

2. For dependent partner, fees is yet to be paid as the IHS info required me to enter the date of main applicants visa expiry, which I entered as 2 years from student visa expiry (I.e. 17 Feb 2026) this meant IHS fees was asked for 2.5 years and I have to restart the application again as there is no way to change it and no instructions on what date to select. Note: select a date with is -1 day (1 day before 2 years) from 2 years, I know it is stupid system and annoying even thought it asks that you are applying for 2 year graduate visa.
I hope this does not impact all the application if fees is paid 2-3 later for one dependent.

3. Children (under 18) are requiring evidence a. Birth certificate, b. Living arrangements evidence in the form of letter from school/collage, and bank statements of children and parents to show they are financially dependent on parents.
Question: I don't have many transactions in our UK bank account to specifically show this. Also I am primarily using Overseas card for expenses as we don't have income in the UK. What kind of evidence is required here?
Do I need to upload a covering letter to explain the situation?

Any help with the above questions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

No.

Doesn't seem to be a question here, just a statement. The error with IHS came from you overthinking it. You just need to give the date 2 years from today, not 2 years from the future expiry of the current visa.

No evidence. Birth certificate was presumably provided before. Other evidence is not relevant or possible for an actual child to provide, only a dependant "child" who is already 18+. It is surely a glitch with the form that they ask for it from a child. A very simple and short letter stating the age of the child and that therefore they are financially dependant on the parent is fine.
