tier 4 to bno visa question

Post by c-sy-app » Wed Feb 24, 2021 5:37 pm

I'm a BNO holder and planning to apply for BNO visa
I was previously on a tier 4 student visa which expired last year. I applied for LOTR inside UK before my student visa expired. (I did not travel outside UK in order to get LOTR, i completed online application so stayed in the UK while they were considering) Took several months before a decision came but luckily HO gave me LOTR for 6 months. I was given a BRP to prove this.
I am just looking at the guidance for TB test certificate
Last time I supplied a TB test certificate it was for my student visa.

Would I have to provide a new TB certificate for my application?
If it helps my last trip out of the UK was 1.5 years ago (was still on my student visa at the time), haven't been able to travel at all because of the pandemic.
I could not leave during my LOTR application and have not been able to travel since granted.

Would I still meet the requirement of "you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months"?
and
"you did not provide a TB test certificate when you last entered the UK, because the duration of the visa you applied for was 6 months or less or you applied to enter the UK at the border"- is my tb test from my student visa (since I last entered on my student visa) enough?

No.

See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... tus-holder

HK 7.1. If the applicant is applying for permission to stay and:
(a) their last grant of permission was for 6 months or less; and
(b) the applicant was present in a country listed in Appendix T of these rules for more than six months immediately prior to their last grant of permission,
the applicant must provide a valid medical certificate confirming that they have undergone screening for active pulmonary tuberculosis and that this tuberculosis is not present in them.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
