hi guys am new to the forum. i am British citizen wishing to exercise eu treaty rights and move to Italy or Sweden. i would like my non eu wife who currently in Ethiopia to accompany me on my move. under directive 2004/38/ec she has a right to this right?
i would like to know if the Somalia e passport will be expected in her application..does any1 have any info on the use of Somali e passport..she will give birth to our 1st child soon,,so he will come with us too..

Your wife/child will need a Schengen visa to enter Italy.

So your question is really: does Italy recognise such a passport.
You could direct that question to Italian embassy (website).

thanks for the reply. if the passport cant be used to apply..do eu countries provide travel documents for them to be able to travel..is there anyone on this forum who have any info or used the somali passport for matters of immigration..thank u

I have read that the Somali ePassport is a new format passport that is more likely to be internationally accepted than previous versions of the passport.

SALAAM ALI ANY NEWS BRO AM BRITISH SOMALI AND I JUST APPLIED FOR MY WIFE AND CHILD TO IRELAND STILL NO ANSWER BUT I HEARD SOMALI PASSPORT WILL BE EXPECTED UNDER DIRTECTIVE 2004/38/EC BY LAW IN EU. ANY PASSPORT AS LONG IT AINT FAKE.
