Marriage in Italy

I am an American in the military stationed in Italy. My girlfriend is a Peruvian national who has overstayed her Schengen visa by about a year and a half. Since she doesn't have any Italian identification is there any way we would be able to be married in Italy?

She will first need to sort out her legal status in Italy if you still want to marry there. Probably by claiming asylum.

Since you are not an EU citizen as soon as she leaves Italy she will be banned for years and also she doesn't have any legal rights to stay or return unlike for EU citizens families and Italian's.
