Covering Letter - PEO appointment

Post by rajesh9pl » Fri May 11, 2012 8:20 pm

Hi,

Would you prepare and submit Covering letter even you have PEO appointment?

I can understand when we are making postal application. In case of premium service we will be in position to all the queries CW has.

What do you say?

Many thanks,
Rajesh

In my personal opinion, cover letters written by the applicant are only useful if you are submitting a Postal Application. If going to a PEO in-person then you will be there to answer/clarify any questions the case worker has then and there.

I had the same opinion. But then came the thought, what if the case worker is not friendly and just take your docs from you and go away. You won't have a chance to explain things if she don't ask. Unless you are proactive and explain it while you give her/him your docs.

Best to have a cover letter in case you get one of those up tight ones. Who can't be bothered to talk to you.

Its always better to carry a covering letter, he/she may not read it . Evidences is what they require and cover letter helps them to verify your details.

Make sure the cover letter has all accurate details like earnings table

Always better to prepate an application as if you are making a postal application.

As such UKBA doesnot guarantee same day service for all applicants and if there was to be any problem like ongoing IT ISSUES s/he may not get opportunity to talk through in person.
So carrying a cover letter is very much advisable.

Hi guys,

I am using existing thread to ask this question.

Would you suggest me create a Employer letter for self for earnings from limited company?

I have already arranged following documents to support PE points.

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... highlight=

I know it will take shorter time to create one than writing this query but I would still like to know if it makes sense. I thought Employer letter would be applicable only for Permanent jobs where applicant can not provide Payslips and he/she has to rely on letter from employer.

Please advice.

Many thanks,
Rajesh

What do you mean when you say "employer letter"? What information does / will such a letter contain?

Tier1 (G) application form, Section 3, J8 - Please tick the relevant boxes to confirm all documents being sent as evidence of previous earnings claimed:

has following option:
Letter from the applicant’s (previous) employer(s) (or, in the case of winnings, the relevant awarding body) confirming that he/ she has received the exact amount he/she is claiming

There is no "employer letter" for self-employed applicants.

I would apply as Employed, operating through my own Limited company.

That wouldn't be correct.
Introduction wrote:Under Part 6A of these Rules, "Self-Employed" means an applicant is registered as self-employed with HM Revenue & Customs, or is employed by a company of which the applicant is a controlling shareholder.
That said, if your employer (limited company) has a company secretary, the he/she may issue such a letter.

Yes, go for that.
That's what I had done in my extension application.
Another family member who was a company secretary signed the letter from company (employer).
