New born baby, Tier-1(General) dependent visa

Post by l_allad » Sun Jul 22, 2012 2:33 pm

Hi,

I have a 3 month old baby born in UK, and I have my Tier-1(General) visa extension due in March,2013. Can I apply for my new born's visa at the time of my extension or is there any time limit for that? If anybody is aware of this pls post me.

A child born in UK, need visa only when she/he has to re-enter UK. In other words, if you do not have any plan to take your baby out of UK for holiday, family visit etc then you do not need any visa for him/her.

If your never travels out of UK then baby does not need even passport. You can directly apply for his/her British passport when you have secured ILR.

Hope this has clear your current and future doubts.
