Required to submit SSN(US) for EC??

Hello All,

I have got my HSMP approved..I am planning to go for EC(Bombay) in middle of Nov..
I am in US currently and have SSN for US..

Do i need to submit SSN just as a proof that i was working in US??
Or will it create a negative impact??(Why u went to US when u applied for UK HSMP).

In my HSMP application there is no mention of U.S. as in last 12 months i was in India..(I Came to US after my HSMP was approved)
