EC approved

Post by hsmp2006 » Wed Nov 15, 2006 7:02 am

All

My passport was stamped yesterday for 2 years Multiple Entry into UK under HSMP. First things first, I owe this to group, its active moderators/members and tons of useful posts.

Applied from Bangalore, India on 10th November (Friday) at 2:50 pm (just in time). Application reached BHC on Monday. EC was approved on Tuesday. Pretty fast I must say - just 2 working days. Received passport today few minutes back with VISA stamp till Nov 2008.

Nothing special in application package. I submitted all original docs sent for HSMP approval. In addition,

1. Included my UK job offer letter
2. Accommodation proof - printouts of online hotel booking confirmation with a provision to cancel.
3. Indian savings account statement showing around 12 L cash balance. Though I feel this amount is more than what is expected.

I will be more than happy to help anyone applying for HSMP/EC.

Cheers,
Amjad.

We also got our EC today! Passports were submitted Friday to DHL (the BHC's outsourced partner in SA), and I picked them up this morning. Also stamped for 2 years from 1 Dec (our preference), so now its London all the way!

We also submitted our HSMP docs, with balances of our bank accounts and job offer contract. No accommodation provided, nor 6-month statements.

Thanks to all the others in these forums who contributed knowledge.

Hi da, I have got my HSMP approval couple of days back and now preparing docs for EC. I am in bangalore these days. As i dont have any job offer from UK company as of now, what kind of financial documents I need to provide with my application.

I'd imagine you will have to convince them that you'll be able to support yourself and your dependents for at least a few months (as that seems to be the norm in waiting to land a job), and with the costs of living what it is in London (where I assume you'll be staying), I'd imagine something like £1000/mo available. You'll have to make a stronger case for your bank accounts, so something like 6 months worth of statements should probably suffice to convince them.

Just my thoughts on the matter...

Congratulations to inso, a4anoop!

Thanks jd, deep_rp.

I've taken a transfer to my company in UK. So, essentially its continuation of employment with the help of HSMP. I applied all by myself - didn't take help from any consultant.

Unfortunately, I don't have any idea about consultants/job market in UK right now. Hoping to get some clarity after reaching there. Will certainly share any useful info. as and when I get it.

All the best for EC guys.

Cheers,
Amjad.
