HSMP approval in UK then home for EC?

Hi Guys

Can someone please confirm for me whether I can apply for the HSMP approval here in the UK and then return to my home country to apply for entry clearance.

Or do I need to apply for HSMP approval back home in my home country as well.

It would obviously make things much easier to apply for HSMP here in the UK and then return home to NZ to apply for entry clearance but am unsure if thats possible.

My Visa for the UK is no longer valid so thats why I ask.

Help is really appreciated.

mrmike, on which visa r u in UK now ? if its a Workpermit you can switch to HSMP in country once your HSMP is approved. No need to go to your home country for EC

i was on a WHV but as stated in my post it is no longer valid

can i still apply for HSMP here tand then return home for EC or is it impossible to aply for HSMP in country when you are not here legally?
