Help with salary/dividend period

Hi all,

First of all, thanks for creating such a thriving community here to help ppl.

I am the director of my own company applying for my Tier 1 ext on 28th Nov. I am claiming earnings for period from 01-March-2012 to 31st Oct-2012 in form of dividends + salary. So far so good.

The quesiton I have is this - I had withdrawn my last dividend on 12th of Nov for the quarter ending on 31st Oct. Can I include that dividend as I am claiming only until 31st Oct. My accountant is happy to state that the dividend withdrawn is for the quarter ending in 31st Oct but withdrawn in November.

Please let me know.

Yes you can claim this dividend subject to your dividend voucher showing it for 31st Oct but you will have to attach corresponding bank statement which shows the payment of this dividend into your account.

Hi PKedia/Other members,

Is that acceptable - i.e. having date on my dividend voucher as 31st Oct but the date od payment in business and personsl bank account as 12th Nov?


I am planning to take following docs:

- Salary slips
- Personal bank account statements
- Dividend vouchers
- Accountants letter explaining the salary+dividend and total earnings
Above are main docs.Supporting docs are:

- Business bank account statements
- Invoice summary letter
- Invoices
- VAT acknowledgements
- Corp Tax return for perevious year
- Incorporation certificate.

Anything else I should be carrying?

I have another quesiton (Kind of an attempt to overcome my issue posted in original post) here - Hopefully will get some answers:

- Can i claim for a month for my earnings in which I have an appointment with UKBA? For example in my case, I have an appointment with UKBA on 28th Nov. Now my salary comes to my account on the last day of the month. So I understand I cannot claim that. BUT, my dividend was taken on 12th Nov, can I claim that even though it wont be month end when I am going to be applying for the Visa?

I understand that there is nothing in the policy guidance which states anything specific on it. My question comes from the fact the since all the the previous months are "full months" but the last/current month hasnt come to an end yet, can i claim money which i have paid to mysef so far?

Will appreciate replies guys.
