Salary Slips to be signed and stamped from employer?

Post by abhipkulk » Sat Jan 13, 2007 4:22 am

Its really shocking to see this requirement !!
If you go to any employer and ask him to sign and stamp salary slips ,first he will start doubting you  you get HSMP or not but you have denied at least promotion to urself!!

Do people really take signature and stamp from employer ?
Finally who should sign it somebody from finance dept? or Admin dept?

I doubt who in private companies are allowed to 'Sign' payslips...

stamped+signed salary slips are needed and should be signed by finance/payroll department.

This is information is not true. You are only required to sign and stamo it if your pay slip are provided online and/or printed in plain paper.

In the UK, sign and stamp pay slip is very uncommon. I have seem quite a few well known MNC they never sign and stamp pay slip. HO understand this situation in the UK. But I do not know if you are outside UK.

However if you could get it, it is certainly better.

Salary slips on company letterhead is always a better choice. And its not bad at all to sign and stamp them as well.

It depends on your relationship with your employer (specially here in Pakistan).

I asked my employer I want my payslips on letter head, he doesn't ask me why.

You can tell your employer you want it for your personal records or to apply for credit card, you have to think about something.

One other option is not to ask your CEO about your payslips, rather ask someone in finance department (possibly manager) of your company, take him/her in confidence that you require these to file an HSMP application. This is important because it is mention in HSMP application form that you need to provide a named contact from your company which should authenticate the information that you are submitting in claim of your earnings.

Best of luck.

P.S. I've yet to receive a case number from HSMP Team.
