Dependent Visa Refusal

Hi All- My wife visa was refused under section 320 (7A) (Reason- Visa officer cannot verify docs (like marriage certificate etc) and thought that it is not genuine marriage). Visa officer also said UKBA will reject for 10 years if you apply again (if it is refused next time- under section 320 (7B))

We applied again with following docs and it was granted:

1. Insurance Policy of main applicant, where wife is nominee
2. Police Clearance Certificate issued by senior Superintend of Police (you can get it from your District SP office)
3. Family register (Pariwar Register) issued by State Government
4. A letter from the elected MLA (Member of legislative Assembly) ( you can get it from MP also)
5. Letter from father and father in law
6. Letter from elected area Head
7. Letter from bank about dependent address and balance
8. Bank credit card, issued for dependent
9. Chat message, email communications, Telephone calls
10. Boarding Pass and immigration stamp of arrival/departure from main applicant Passport
11.Marriage certificate (authenticated by District Magistrate office, State Government and Ministry of External Affairs) and Notarized certificate from the Priest
12. Son Birth Certificate
13. Any medical letter
14. Domicile of Wife
15. Ration Card
16. Post office account ( you can open a saving account or joint account)
17. Caste certificate
18. Affidavit from Consulate General (For Son passport)
19. Provisional Driving License of Wife (You can apply it)
20. Marriage photos
21. Marriage Invitation card
22. Marriage DVD clips (Not allowed but a letter was submitted that we have it but security did not allow it)
23. Wife and Son Passport, where UKBA can see name of Main applicant and address.
24. Evidence of spouse name included in main applicant’s Passport by Consulate General.
25. Wife Medical Certificate for TB checkup
26. Some of Wife and Son Health checkup document from last years
27. Rent Agreement, Council tax letter and Utility bill from UK
28. Cover Letter from Solicitor and Personal statement of Main applicant, wife
29. Main applicant earnings like payslips etc.


Hope some documents will help for new applicant to avoid refusal on their application, make sure your marriage certificate is signed/attested by Ministry of external affair (apostille)
