Form 16 and SARAL - requesting clarifications

Dear Members,

I have a small query popping up at the final leg of my application.

I got my Form16 and now obtained SARAL as well for the financial year 2006-2007.

The Form16 first indicates Gross Salary earnings. Then Allowance, Expenditure and PT are deducted to form "Income from Salary".

The SARAL starts with "Income from Salary" and nowhere indicates the Gross Earnings.

I would like to know from you all what needs to be presented - is it gross earnings or income from salary? Gross salary per annum matches with gross pay/month added over 12 months.

If anyone has some experience regarding this, please let me know.
