URGENT -Guidance for Applying for EC

Post by shin25 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 6:54 pm

Hello,

I got my HSMP approved on Apr-27 and am planning to file for my EC. I read through some posts on EC rejections and wanted some guidance on things i need to include/exclude as part of my documentation so that my case is accepted. Early responses is highly appreciated as I am planning for EC early next week.
The following document I am planning to send:

An official HSMP approval letter from Home Office
ï‚€ Valid Passport
 Original Passports [New & Old]
 Passport should be valid for at least 6 months

 Educational Documents – Principal Applicant
 Degree Certificates & Mark Sheets

 Work Experience Documents – Principal Applicant
 Attested Pay Slips – Last 12 months
 Employer References – All the Employers

ï‚€ Evidence of Your Financial Status
ï‚€ Bank Statement showing total value of Liquid Funds
ï‚€ Bank Statement for the past 12 months
ï‚€ Fixed Deposits, NSC Certificates, Postal Savings, etc., [Notarized Copy]
ï‚€ Personal Tax Returns for the last 3 years

ï‚€ Proof of Accommodation
ï‚€ Invitation Letter from a UK Resident [Friend or Relative] or;
ï‚€ Hotel Reservation

Does Proof of Date of Birth, Bank statements clearly mentioned on salary credited etc are required? I checked this on some rejections posts by earlier people, I had already submitted this for my HSMP approval. Please advice and also I am doing a hotel booking rather than an invitation letter from any of my friend in the UK.
Please share past experiences as well.

Thanks a lot for your time.

Regards,
Shin
