Knowledge of Language (English) for ILR

Post by pranav.vaidya » Mon Feb 16, 2015 8:53 pm

Hi,
I came to the UK at the beginning of 2010.
Later I switched my entry clearance category to Tier-1(Gen) in 2011 and In 2013 I renewed my Tier-1 (General).
I'm now eligible for ILR. I'm studying for "Life in UK" test at the moment.

My last Tier-1 (G) renewal didn't ask for proof English language knowledge as " it was proved in earlier application which was successful".

Is this the same for ILR? In other words, do I have to give a separate exam to prove Knowledge of Language for ILR or would Home Office consider my previous successful applications.

Could someone please help explain this.

Thanks.
