Hi All,
My initial HSMP was approved in July,2006 and EC obtained in Aug.06,valid till Aug '07. I applied under the transitional arrangement for self-employed. I have registered as a sole trader with HMRC for taxes and NICO in Apr 07 and started trading immediately. I have traded for 4 months and 3 weeks prior to my FLR(HSMP) Application. I have also included copies of registration documents with HMRC and gave a direct debit instruction to HMRC on a monthly basis. This appears on my Bank statements as deductions were made. I also included the whole invoice booklet with duplicates stating transactions and amount charged. But application was refused as CW stated that there is no confirmation of self employment from HMRC for tax deductions, invoices, letters of contractractual agreement fro 6 months and other relevant doc. But I included the HMRC registration letter and corroborated this with bank statements and amount deducted on a monthly basis.I also did a summary of all this on a spreadsheet. But the interesting thing is that my FLR was refused but The CW stated that my initial Leave to enter was supposed to be 2 years instead of 1 year stamp on my passport. He then decided to give me another 1 year stamp of 'residence permit' with 'Limited to leave to remain' and no right of appeal on this decision. I suspect a fowl play and will like to take advise on next step as I know that I meet all the requirements as stated on the FLR(HSMP.) I came into the UK before the new rule changes and have also met the conditions of the 'transitional arrangement for self employed'.Please, advice.
Thank you.
