Are these HSMP evidence and documents enough ?

Post by AANWAR » Tue Dec 11, 2007 11:05 am

Dear All

I wish to apply for HSMP before 20th Dec 2007 as I possess 85 points according to the current HSMP rules and i do not want to wait for the new points/tier base system which is expected to be implemented in Jan 2008. For this, I have following documents which I can send HSMP team as an evidence to claim 85 points:

1) Qualifications (30 Points)
I have a Masters Degree which is equivalent to UK's Bachelor Degree as per NARIC letter of comparability. So I will send them the following documents:

a) Original Transcript of my Masters Degree. I can not send my degree at this stage as my university will provide me the degree in due course. But my original Transcript is verified from University Examination controller as well as from HEC (higher Education Commission of Pakistan).
b) A letter from the University stating that they will issue me the degree in due course and stating that I have fully complete my Masters program.
c) The fax copy of letter of Comparability from NARIC which states that my Masters Degree is equal to UK's Bachelor Degree

2) Past Earnings (45 Points)
I am from Pakistan and therefore I come under the band D. My earnings during the period from Nov 2006 to Oct 2007 have been more than 7500 British pounds and therefore I can claim 45 points in this regards. I can provide following evidences to prove my previous earnings.

a) Original signed and stumped Salary Slips for months from Nov 2006 to Oct 2007.
b) Original signed and stumped Bonus Slip that was paid to me in April 2007 and contributes to my overall income that is more than 7500 pounds.
c) Tax Return Form which covers period from Nov 2006 to Jun 2007 as tax period in Pakistan is from 1 July to 30 June.
d) Original Bank Statement from 1st Nov 2006 to 31st Oct 2007 which shows that my Salary and Bonus was transferred to my Salaries account in Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan.
e) A letter from our Salaries Department stating the total Gross Salary and Bonus paid to me between 1 Nov 2006 to 31st Oct 2007.

3) Age (10 points)
I am 28 year old and I can provide following evidences to prove my age.

a) Original Driving License
b) Notarized Copy of the personal page of the passport

4) English Language
I have recently earned IELTS with overall band score of 6.5. Following evidences can be provided to prove my English Language;

a) Original IELTS Result stating an overall band score of 6.5
b) A letter from the University stating that medium of instruction during my Masters was in English.

Could you please guide me if above documents and evidences are enough to apply for HSMP or not? Do I have good chances of getting an HSMP approval based on the above documents?

Many thanks
Aanwar

Hi

My brother applied with the same kind of documents and he got his HSMP approved.

I think you have all the documents required with you as per the HSMP guidance, and you will have a good chance of success.

For the bonus part, is your salary slip explains bonus for the calculation of gross salary. I'm not too sure as caseworkers are fussy sometimes with regards to bonus.

Some senior members can share their thoughts on this.

Anyways Good luck for ur HSMP.
