Is IELTS exam score required for HSMP?

Hi All,
I have done BE and MBA. Both I have studied in English medium. I heard from one of my friends that, from March 2008 it has been made mandatory that those who wants to apply for HSMP should gain 6.5 out of 9 in IELTS exam. However, when I went through the HSMP site it is not stated that way. Can some one clarify whether it is mandatory or not? Did some one apply with out IELTS and get their HSMP?

Just check whether ur MBA is recognised on self assesment tool. Go to the http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator link and check wheether ur degree is listed in education assesment tool.

if it is then u do not need to go for IELTS exam only u need to provide the original MBA certificate.

Can u tell where u have done ur MBA which college....u can take the certificate from ur College statinig that ur medium of instrucution is English.

Also u can do ur MBA assesment through NARIC visit the NARIC site....but this will take minimum of one month for assesment.
