Previous Earnings Documentation

Post by jtcf1981 » Fri May 30, 2008 6:22 am

Hello all,

I just submitted my HSMP application yesterday from Australian and discovered this site today (d'oh!).

I've been reading with interest people's experiences in trying to obtain this visa. Congratulations to all who have succeeded and keep the faith to all those who haven't as yet.

I was just wondering if someone could please provide me with some sound advice, particularly somebody who has been through the process.

I stated in my application that I was not able to provide a tax return as the period that I was using to claim my earnings crossed two tax years, on of which had not been completed (08 tax year finishes on June 30). I instead provided:

- copies of bank statements that were stamped and signed by the bank with a letter from the bank stating that the statements are original copies;

- payslips printed on company letterhead, stamped and signed with the gross amount, net amount and the account details my salary was deposited into. One of the companies did not have a company stamp, so the Company Secretary/Legal Counsel signed them instead;

- letters from my previous employers printed on original company letterhead that were signed by the HR Managers.

I just wanted to see if people would think that this would be enough. Your replies would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to share my experiences as they occur.

Thank you in advance!

Ooops!

I forgot to add that my letter of employers stated my gross salary for the period that I was claiming for.

So:

Employer 1 wrote that between the months of March 07 - October 07 I earned $X as a gross amount.

And employer 2 wrote the same thing for the months of October 07 - February 08.

Thanks!

JT

It would have been better if you had submitted the tax return even for the part of the period forwhich you have claimed earnings. However, whatever you have provided too seems sufficient.

All the best,

regards,
