Can HSMP holder sponsor his Brother's student visa

Can HSMP holder sponsor his Brother's student visa

Are we, HSMP holders, allowed to sponsor close relatives such as brother for his studies. I have a full time job and earning enough to sponsor him.

Hi,

I am on the HSMP and i am on a full time job. I have my visa extension in Jan 2009.

In the mean time, i want my brother to study here. So can i sponser his visa (my extension is in Jan). So will my extension will a problem here.

or is there any other means for him to come here (other than student visa) - like is there anything i can do with my hsmp visa

Well, you cannot sponsor him as a dependent, if that's what you were trying to ask! But yes, you can sponsor his "visitor" visa.
