Indian earnings

Hello,

My Indian earnings are non-taxable as i am not in india for a year now and hence for tax purposes i am not a resident of india. But i have earned income in india from an indian company.

If i dont pay tax over the income in india, do i have to declare that income in the UK and pay tax over the same here in the UK? If so, then does anyone know how i should go about it?

One of my friend is working for TCS.. he showed indian earnings and uk earnings and got HSMP approved...
