Tier 1 visa is Valid for how much time?

Post by smarty1277 » Thu Aug 14, 2008 8:59 pm

Hi Friends,

I am going to apply for Tier 1 (General) Visa from India. My question is like HSMP approval letters were valid for a period of six months from the date of issue. Similarly for Tier 1 (General) visa within how much time I have to reach UK.
Let us supposed I will get my Tier 1 (General) Visa stamped in November 08 then upto which month the Visa will be valid to reach UK and start a job.

Thanks in advance.

i think lot ppl are asking this question. i am not able to find any time frame in any of the guidance from ukba. so i am assuming that since the visa is for 3 years one can enter anytime in 3 years. but it may effects one's appeal for a leave after the end of 3 yr period and a grant of citizenship after 5 years.

but even if some enters UK let say after 1 year of stamping, is it possible tht UK denies the person of the entry.

and wat if the person is not able to move to UK after stamping cause of some reasons, can it effect the persons chances of getting a business visa to UK or any other country in fuure.
experts please share ur thoughts.
Regards,
Saurabh
