EC in 24 hours without latest statements

Post by pencillin » Thu Oct 16, 2008 1:25 am

I and my wife have applied for my EC
I didn't provide up to date statement, instead i have provided STAMPED statement for two months (i got this stamped while I was visiting the uk cause my bank account is in UK) and for third month i provided a print out of my online banking, plain A4 paper that I printed myself
I got my visa stamped in 24 hours, very happy, I've landed in the UK yesterday and hunting for jobs now. I have also started my part time Masters
I just have a small question that went unanswered, why can't I claim 35 points for education when i extend assuming that I get my Masters degree done by then?

EDIT: I removed the bit of where I applied, they were successful in getting me paranoid about it as well, but I still think no one has cheated the system, it's not like the online print out was forged or untrue!

Cheated the system?
I don't think the same, that CW did not cheat the system, he/she was a reasonable person who realised I wouldn't be able to get original or stamped statement in less than 7 days from UK since I don't live there. I have provided two months of stamped statement to verify that my account is genuine and online print out of last month to complete the maintenance funds requirement. Don't be paranoid and think that all the cw care about is finding a reason to reject an application, it won't help other people when you think this way.

Ha, true, it isnt like you deliberately set out to evade UK immigration procedures, but the fact remains that you got through despite being in clear breach of official policy and procedure.
Don't be paranoid and think that all the cw care about is finding a reason to reject an application, it won't help other people when you think this way.
Just because you would have had trouble obtaining your bank statements doesnt mean you were exempt from the rules; if you explore these forums you will find plenty of other people have had to struggle to obtain statements from overseas banks, and plenty of people who have had their applications declined by failing to do so. If your advice to other applicants is just provide what is convenient and the caseworker will bend the rules for you, then I would suggest you are misguided.

Well done for getting through; I'm just reminding you that you got lucky.
