Tier 1 Maintenance

Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask a quick hypothetical question.

If I was coming to the UK and looking to apply for a Tier 1 but could not afford £4400 for me and one dependant and instead I came over on a Work Permit and my dependant came over also on that, would I then be able to apply for a Tier 1 in country with the reduced maintenance, and would I have to get the maintenance for my dependant also or just the £800?

Hi,

1) Ur dependant cant switch from dependant WP to Tier-1
2) You can do that while being on WP but your WP will get invalid and your wife who is on a dependant WP will have to go back.

So technically you have to aply for both at the same time. Main applicant and dependant
