APPEAL DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFICATES NOT RECEIVED

Post by makon » Wed Mar 23, 2005 2:31 pm

I applied for HSMP this year but was declined within a month. I submitted my application in early January 2005 but a decision was taken on January 27 and it was not approved.

The got to me in Febraury because I stay outside UK. I then made an appeal on Feb. 22, to make sure that it reaches them on time I sent it through my brother who is a UK resident. He duly sent it to HSMP through Royal Mail special Delivery, this I am sure of. And tracking it on Royal mail webiste shows that it was delivered but HO say they have not received it.

And all my CERTIFICATES were sent with the appeal even though I later learnt that I should not have sent the certificates again.

anybody out there who have experienced of misplaced/lost certificates? Please share you experience so that I know the steps I can take to recover them.

Thanx

I think you need to call them and get a more clear picture. Definetly if Royal Mail says they delivered then it was delivered. There many cases where they have not sent an ack, or reference number so all you have to do is call and maybe email them.

Makon -

Absolutely the same story with me!

I was refused in February, beginning of March my advisor sent them a letter + all the the documents originally submitted (including all the originals) + some new documents - about a week ago when I called them they said "we have not heard from you yet".
So my advisor immediately faxed them the royal mail tracking information and they assured him that they will follow on that. Later, on Thursday when I called they still insisted they have not received anything (the person on phone even couldn't confirm that they have received the faxes from my advisor).
I don't know what can be done but I will keep pushing my advisor to keep chasing what's going on, to keep sending them faxes, emails, to call them by phone. And if we don't have any result till end of Tuesday I (or my advisor) will send an official complaint to the HSMP team and to the complaint section of Home Office.
It is really ridiculous - after 7 months of waiting, and being refused after having sent a job offer, and after having sent again for a review with an urgent form because of the job offer - now it seems like that my documents are somewhere in their office (hope so!) but unfortunately they cannot locate them :x

I would also ask for some advice from the moderators or anyone who has got similar experience.
Thanks and good luck to all applicants.

mbg,

I have faxed evidence of postage (Royal Mail tracking code) and a print out from Royal mail website to them. I have also added a complaint letter as the email complaint was not specifically dealt with. I spoke to someone on Thurdsday 24th and he was about chatting with his colleague whom I spoke to the previous day about my case when the line went off. Before then, he told me that they received thousands of docs daily and that the P.O. Box 3468 is used for other work permits applications and that if i did not addressed it properly to the HSMP Team it wudn't get to them. I told him that I addressed correctly, and I hope the fax will convince them. I will call them again today. If you receive any feedback from them pls do let me know thro this addy: eddy_1205@yahoo.co.uk, If i do hear from them i will also let you know.

thanks
