Am I elligible??

Hi

I was working a reputed MNC till Mar 2008 and have 5 yrs experience in IT field. But last year I had to quit my job and come to US with my husband. As Im currently on H4 Im not elligible to work in the US.

We are wondering if I apply for Tier 1, can I give the earnings from 2007-08? As during the past year I have not worked and this would impact the points considerably for me.

I possess a Post Grad degree in MBA and I less than 29 yrs of age.

Can someone please help me out in this regard?

the earning period would have to be within the last 15 months. If you apply in Feb 2009 this would be within the period Sep 2007- Jan 2009. Since you wre not working since April 2008, the period u can show will be Sep 2007 to march 2008 (7 months). If you have earned enough in those 7 months to score the required points ofcourse u can apply. Your age and qualification would give you 45 points. You would need another 30 points on ur earnings. For which u need to be in the bracket of £29000- £31999 which if earned in India is equivalnet to minimum of £5472 which is Rs. 3,83,040 taking £1=rs. 70 ( will differ from time to time).

You can get all the 75 points from the MBA if you have done it from a list of universities listed by the UKBA

This rule is been removed from T1.

I just miss the mark for the Earnings. If the period was 9 months I would have made it. I did not get my MBA from the listed universities.
