Dependant Visa processing times in India (Long wait ! )

Hi All,
Can you share some of your experiences regd the Dependant Visa processing times ?
I am a bit concerned as my spouse's application has been submitted on 19th Dec,2008 at VFS Kolkata & still the status is showing as 'forwarded to BHC ..' !
I came to know that it has been fwd to BHC Delhi ..& I was reading somewhere where ppl were telling that esp BHC Delhi is running pretty slow compared with other consulates ..

any idea ..pls ?
Anybody who have got their Dependant Visa by submitting on or after Dec,2008 ?
