Hi all,
I've found information on this board very helpful and thank you so much for you guys' input.
Wonder if anyone could kindly share some knowledge about my following question.
I'm about to send in my HSMP (now as Tier 1 G) extension appication. I have had an old passport, which has been replaced, containing my UK student visas (prior to my initial HSMP appication sent in in 2007).
Do I need to submit my old passport with my extension application? Or can I send only my current passport with my current leave?
It reads in Section 2, Part C of the application form that:
"For the application to be valid and complete, the applicant must provide his/her original current passport or travel document unless it is not available for one of the reasons specified on the application form.
The applicant should also provide all previous passports and/or travel documents that he/she has used to travel to, and remain in, the United Kingdom which shows his/her current leave."
I found the second sentence a little confusing as : a) my previous passport doesn't show my current leave but b) I have used it to travel to and remain in the UK.
I phoned 08706067766 and 01142074074 and got two different answers...
One said I should stick to the form and if my previous passport doesn't show my current leave I don't need to send it in. The other said I should definitely send all my passport containing prvious visa(s) to the UK with my application.
Please could someone share your experience and advice on whether should I send my previous passport?
Many Thanks!
S
