[Answered]3 months fund maintenance & date of travel to

Post by iremedyu » Wed Mar 18, 2009 5:20 pm

Hello all,

Although my initial quries have been answered, I still have two things to ask. Please advise me.

1. In relation to the date of 'travel to UK' field in online application form(vaf9), does it have to be a date within 3 months from the date of submission? I had input a few days later than 3 months date. Will it make a trouble? or Is there any method I can correct it?

2. Is it a week or a month before the submission that the date of bank statement has to be printed for 3 months fund maintenance.

Thanks for your time.

Lastest bank statement should be within 30days before application is lodged at the HO

The case worker may decide not to post date your VISA but you can always request them to correct it once you receive the stamped Passport(I gather from some earlier posts that they would not post date it beyond 3 months)

Date of travel should not be beyond 3 months.

Mention a date less than 3 months. It is not mandatory to travel on the specified date. so you can travel when you want after visa is granted

Bank statement should not be more than a month old from the date of application.

I'm submitting documents on 27,March, but I input 1,Jul for 'travel to uk' field online application. If the date shouldn't be beyond 3months, is there anyway to ask for a change?
By the way, although I've submitted online application and I bring the printed copy of the application, should I also fill out the VAF9 form? I don't think so, though.

It doesn't matter if u put the travel a few days beyond 3 months. What they will do is just give u the travel date only 3 months after the date of approval. I had done the same and it had no effect on my application.I got the travel date exactly 3 months after my application.
