Is there any changes to Tier 1 Dependent visa rules

Hi All,

I have Tier 1 stamped on my passport in Jan 2009 1st week, now I am planning to go ahead and process my wife's visa in the month of May or June.

I heard that, there are changes to immigration rules from April 1st 2009. Can anyone pls lemmie know what are those new changes to dependent visa and will it impact on my visa stamped in Jan 2009 ?

There are no changes to dependent visa. You can go ahead as normal.

Have a query on Dates for VAF10 form. Have you thought about the answers for these questions when the main applicant is still in india.

Page 1 of Vaf10,

On which date do you, wish to to travel to the UK.............


Page 7 of Vaf10.. Question 7.2

7.2 Are you accompanying the main applicant or joining him/her later?


I suppose there is a relevance to both these questions as i presume that if you answer joining later then they would stamp the start date of the visa
on the intended travle date and not the current date of processing regardless of the visa date of the main applicant. Any thoughts on this..

I have read earlier maybe its ramgsk / Vinny where they had indicated there thoughts but i dont seem to find them...

Anyways do let me know if you have any ideas on this...

Also Is it necessary to show accomodation proof as intend to apply for wife and kids on dependent visa.
