HSMP Extn(non-JR) with One dependant. Please check documents

Post by ravi6666 » Wed Mar 25, 2009 2:51 pm

Hi ,
My HSMP visa is due to expire on 23rd April 2009. I am planning to apply extn(non-JR) with one dependent on 31st March-2009

Please check the following docs

For Main Applicant

1. Main Application and passport
2. Two photos with name written on back of each
3. 12 months payslips
4. 12 months bank statements
5. For Maintenance :I am maintaining balance only from 30-dec-08.So I am planning to apply on 31st March-08 So that I can show balance from 30-Dec-08 to 30-Mar-08 .
So on 31st March I will go to HSBC bank and ask them to get the print outs for past three months and get them signed and stamped

For dependant

1. Seperate dependant application form & Passport
2. Two photos with name written on back of each
3. Marriage certificate.
4. For maintanence I will ask to refer to main applicat maintainence balance proof.

Note: I am claiming 35 points for Qualification and 10 points for English requirement. But I am not sending any documents as we don't require for HSMP extension as I claimed points two years back when I applied for HSMP first time

Please correct me if I miss anything.

Thanks in advance.
Ravi

Ravi,
Guidance says that you need not send you documents if you applied with the same document earlier. When I called HO sometime back to confirm this, HO agent said "you don't need to send the document if you applied in the same category before" but in this case "you are chaging category from HSMP to Tier 1."

I got confused and send all the document. Better safe than sorry. I am sure many other forumites have got extension without sending docs too.

It means for same qualification.

If you have claimed points for bachelors degree earlier and now claiming for masters, then you need to send documents.

If you are claiming for bachelors again, then you don't need to send doc.

Thanks for the reply , I claimed points for qualification for the same qualification ( Masters) which I got approval two years back. But for safe I will send my Masters certifcate again.

For me what written in guidance note is crystal clear, beside it, there in no limit on no of documents one can send . I seen people sending marksheets, birth certificates.

Refere guidance note par. 72,

72. An applicant who has previously been given permission to stay in the United Kingdom under Tier 1 (General) or the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, and previously scored points for the same qualification for which he/she wishes to claim points in his/her current application, does not need to send evidence of his/her qualification again.

If somebody feel, this is not clear enough, then it's their choice.

Hi again, two questions again pls

1)Maintanence = I am planning to send 3 months bank statements prior to the date of application.. I am maintiaing balance from 30 March onwards ...

So if I apply on 31st of March , I can show 30-Dec-08 to 30-Marc-08 , or for safe side shall i wait till 1st April and ask them to check Jan,Feb and march statements

2) Earnings - If I apply of 1-April-09, previous earnings from Feb-08 to Jan-09 should be ok right? ( as any 12 months from past 15 months)

Please let me know,

Thanks,
Ravi
