Issues / questions with latest form

Can anyone explain what the following question means

Please give details of the applicant’s Identity Card for Foreign Nationals. Please note
for the application to be valid and complete the applicant’s current Identity Card for Foreign
Nationals must be provided, unless it is not available for one of the reasons specified on the
application form.

The above is Question C9 of the new form and I have no clue about the question.

Secondly, with regard to dependent application form, can the main applicant's card details suffice in the payment section of the dependent's application form or should we provide dependent's card information? I know this sounds silly especially if you consider a child dependent but just wanted to be sure before completing my application.

This is not applicable to you. If you go to the last few pages of the application you will find the following information:

C9-C12 If the applicant’s current grant of leave was issued on an identity card (ICFN) he/she must also provide the ICFN in order
for the application to be valid, unless it is not available for one of the reasons specified on the application form.

As your current grant of leave was not issued on an ICFN you just have to write N/A in the relevant box and then state the reason in c10
