HSMP - Route to UK Citizenship

Hi

I am planning to go to UK within 2 weeks. Please can anyone advise

1) How long will it take to get UK citizeship / passport after HSMP (what is route/procedure) and how certain is it to get citizenship after stay with HSMP.

2) What should I do soon after arrivial specially what is procedure to oprn bank account.

1) How long will it take to get UK citizeship / passport after HSMP (what is route/procedure) and how certain is it to get citizenship after stay with HSMP.

You will first need to obtain an Indefinate Leave to Remain (ILR) stamp on your passport. This will take you 4 years under the current rule. You will be able to apply for naturalisation a year after obtaining ILR.
