WP 1 yr + 3yrs HSMP = ILR??

Post by shs213 » Tue Apr 28, 2009 10:53 pm

Hi All, I am newbie here, so pls go easy on me. .

Following the success of the case, I beleive all the people who joined the HSMP scheme prior Apr 06 will now qualify for ILR in 4 years. .

I got my WP in June 05 then switched to HSMP a year later, Now I have completed 1 yr on WP, 2 years on HSMP and 1 yr on Tier one. .

My question is do I qualify for ILR in 4 years?

I read a lot of posts but couln'f find the answer to my questions, also considering if anyone else in my poisition I have creatd a new Topic. . Cheers guys. .

When did you get your HSMP visa?
If its bfore 3rd April 2006 then you stand a chance of makingfor an ILR after 4 years otherwise its 5 years.

I got my hsmp in June 06, doesn't the 4 year rule apply for WP holders then?

My understanding is WP & HSMP both have the same time lines for ILR. . So I assume I should qualify for ILR in 4 years? Am I wrong on this one?

If you have gor HSMP visa between 3rd april to Nov 2006 then you are sure that you will get ILR in years and new citizen bill will not effect you on getting the ILR.
But you won't be eligible for 4 years ILR.

People who are work permit holders should also get ILR before 3 Apr 2006. Please sign the petition below to Gordon Brown.

Can we really hope home office to be extra sympethatic

Post by jazzmann » Sun May 10, 2009 11:02 pm

Do you really think the Home office can be extra sympthetic including WP holder may be but the track record has not hinted in that direction?
