Help!deposit certificate question

Hi there,
I’m new here, just have some question about Tier 1. Please help me ,if u now the answer .

I’m currently in China and preparing to apply T1 in June. But recently I found I need a deposit certificate according to this website (http://www.vfs-uk-cn.com/checklist.aspx). So I’m not sure what this deposit certificate is for and how can I get it? And is my 3 months bank statement equal to deposit slips?

By the way, I use royal bank of Scotland banks statement, and I have already got last 3 months banks statement to show I have 2800 pound fund in my account for 3 months.

Not sure about deposit slips/certificate. But you RBS statement should be fine for maintenance funds.

Wild guess: Might be a certificate from bank's branch manager... check with RBS

I guess the bank statement will be fine.

the more I sreached ,more I got confused.
Just now some one told me I need have approval letter , then I can apply Tier 1.
I have no idea what's that and where and how can I get it?

dude its simply a points based system.. if u are attaining all the points u r good to go... there is no approval thing now it was on for the previous HSMP not tier 1...
Just check the points calculator, check your stuff.. get all the documents and apply....

You need to speak to someone at VFS to clarify if it applies to you as well. This seems like an additional measure against potential frauds etc.

From 1st July2008 all deposit slips must be accompanied by a deposit certificate. This measure has been introduced to help confirm the authenticity of documentation. Applications which do not submit deposit certificates may be refused.

Do you know what a deposit slip is?

Check the Chinese version of this website. It is a prove of your bank statement.
