Late extension sumbission

My HSMP visa is to expire on October 12, 2009 after frist 2 years. I am colletcting papers for extension and need to wait another couple weeks for bank statements sent from overseas.

Is it better to wait and send all original documents (but then there will be no hope to get approved before the end of the term)

Or should I send the applicaiton now with internet printouts for bank statements, asking in cover letter for reference number so that my original bank statements can be sent directly to the officer. In the last case - i can be actually approved by October 12, 2009 - if the officer will be so kind to give me the chance.

I am not sure if I can keep working after the term if my applicaiton is not proccessed yet.

Let me see if I understand your query - Your current leave expires on 12/10/09 and you are currently organizing the application and supporting evidence. You need another 2 weeks to collate the bank statements so should be able to submit the application by 21/09/09.

If the above is correct, then this means that you would have submitted the application before 12/10/09 when your current leave expires. You can continue to work in UK as normal while your application is being processed even though your leave may have expired. The important thing is to submit all the correct paperwork at the first go before your current leave expires as there is no guarantee that the case worker will ask for additional evidence - chances are that they will not.

Thus, my advise is that get your application and supporting evidence in order and submit it all before 12/10/09.

Please understand that, if it not necessary that you send your application for extension and get it approved before ur current visa expires..

Dont worry relax:

It is ur job to send your application for extension before your current VISA expires it is OK if your applicaation reaches HO on 11th Oct 2009; rest is in the hands of the HO/ case worker to approve it in 6days or 6weeks..

You are ok to work til ur application is decided by the HO even if ur current visa date is expired or gone..

And also pelase wait and get all your required ORIGINAL docs and submit so that your application is straight forward and strong..
