Is IELTS Mandatory for HSMP

Hello everyone,

First of all i would like to thank you all for your valuable suggestions. I am currently working in USA an d planning to apply for UK HSMP in January 2010.I just want to know whether IELTS is compulsory to qualify for this program. If yes, what score we need to get in IELTS test. Also if you know any material available on the net to prepare for IELTS. Thanks in advance.

Nope. Read the guidance note. If you have a degree taught in English (check on point based calculator) or if you have a degree from English speaking country (again see the guidance note for the list), you dont need anything but your original degree.

Btw- its not called HSMP. HSMP has now been folded into Tier-1 (General)
